1. General Provisions and Scope

These Terms of Use govern the use of all services provided through the WishMate mobile application (iOS and Android) and website (wishmate.net). By using our services, you agree to these terms.

2. Service Description

WishMate provides a platform that enables users to:

  • Create and manage wishlists
  • Share lists with friends and family
  • Coordinate gift-giving
  • Receive reminders for special occasions

WishMate does not sell products directly; it only facilitates users in organizing and sharing their wishes.

3. Account Creation and Security

You must be over 13 years old to create a WishMate account.

You are responsible for the confidentiality of your account information and all activities under your account.

  • You are required to provide accurate and current information
  • You must keep your password secure and not share it with anyone
  • You must notify us immediately in case of unauthorized access

4. User Obligations

Users agree to comply with the following rules:

  • Use services only for lawful purposes
  • Respect other users' rights
  • Share accurate and honest information
  • Avoid actions that may compromise platform security

5. Prohibited Behaviors

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

  • Sharing illegal content or conducting illegal activities
  • Harassing, threatening, or insulting other users
  • Sending spam or unwanted content
  • Impersonating another person or organization
  • Spreading viruses or malicious software
  • Using automated data collection tools
  • Reverse engineering the application

6. Wishlist Content

You are responsible for the content (text, images, links) you add to your wishlists.

  • Content must be legal and appropriate
  • Must not infringe on others' intellectual property rights
  • Misleading or harmful content must not be shared

WishMate reserves the right to remove content that violates these rules without prior notice.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

The WishMate application, website, logo, designs, and content are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

  • A limited, revocable license is granted to use the services
  • This license does not grant commercial use or sublicensing rights
  • You retain rights to the content you share

8. Third-Party Services

WishMate uses the following third-party services:

  • Firebase (authentication, database, notifications)
  • Google Analytics (usage analysis)
  • Social media integrations (sharing features)

These services are subject to their own terms of use and privacy policies.

9. Limitation of Liability

WishMate is provided "as is" and "as available."

  • No guarantee is given that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • We are not responsible for the content of external links
  • We cannot be held liable for indirect, incidental, or special damages
  • We are not responsible for disputes between users

10. Account Suspension and Termination

WishMate may suspend or terminate your account in the following cases:

  • Violation of these terms
  • Detection of illegal activities
  • Causing harm to other users or the platform
  • User's own request

When an account is terminated, your data is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

11. Dispute Resolution

In case of any dispute regarding our services, we first ask you to try to resolve the issue by contacting us at [email protected]. If the dispute cannot be resolved, the courts of the Republic of Turkey have jurisdiction.

12. Changes

These Terms of Use may be updated from time to time. In case of significant changes, we will notify you through in-app notifications or email. Continuing to use the service after updates are published means you accept the changes.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey. The courts of the Republic of Turkey have exclusive jurisdiction in case of any dispute.
